ParaQuad Projects
Ferguson Lodge Appeal
The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of NSW (ParaQuad) has existed for over 50 years serving the needs of people with spinal cord injuries (SCI).
ParaQuad supports a range of community and clinical services, one of which is an accommodation facility, “Ferguson Lodge” at Lidcombe. Since 1979, Ferguson Lodge has provided a home and also a place of respite and is about to undergo a much needed redevelopment. Support for the new building has been generously supported by the government, however a full fit-out to achieve a new standard of physical accommodation is needed.
Detailed planning and consultation with the wide range of stakeholders occurred during 2006 and into the early part of 2007.The design, approval and construction phase is estimated to take until the end of 2008.
At the end of the road, together we will have achieved a benchmark accommodation facility nestled within a "village green" located in Lidcombe. This is where people with SCI can experience either high needs care or independent living in a modern, well-equipped community setting.
On behalf of the residents of Ferguson Lodge and ParaQuad NSW, we thank you for your generosity with this important and vital community-based project.
We look forward to your support. Click here to download an information flyer and donation form.
